"And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good gospel to the whole creation." (Mark 16:15, NRSV)
Mission Trip Committee
Being a part of the group does not commit you to actually participating in the mission trips (although it's obviously encouraged). The focus of the group will be organization and logistics of future mission trips (both local and abroad). All are welcome to this meeting.
Mission Trip Birdsboro
July 22 – 26, 2020 are currently set as the dates for Mission Trip Birdsboro. If you wish to help again, or would like to join us, please go to stpaulsbirdsboro.org and follow the prompts to get all the information you will need. Please print and fill out the forms required and return to Sally Sassaman by April 26, 2020. You will need to include your $15 registration fee with the forms. Thank you, so much for your cooperation. Please return the forms to the church and slip through the mail slot.
In 2019 we joined five other congregations in expressing God's love within our wider community. We assisted in touching the lives of nearly three dozen homeowners right here in our own backyard. Mission Trip Birdsboro was started by St. Paul's UCC in 2014. Since then it has grown each year and now involves six congregations and over 50 sponsoring organizations. More information about this ministry can be found here.
Mission Trip: Puerto Rico
In July 2018 twelve members of our congregation took a trip to Puerto Rico with a very limited set of skills. God didn’t care. He gave us plenty of opportunities to make a difference in the lives of the people we met. We were able to make a difference in lives of four families who now had homes with solid roofs that no longer leaked. God also gave us the opportunity to build a cement wall, bucket by bucket, for another house. There is much more to be done and we plan to return to do God's work.
